Mercedes-AMG has launched its latest advertising marketing campaign, this time specializing in its upcoming One hypercar and seven-time Formula One world champion Lewis Hamilton.

Dubbed ‘After Work’, the 35-second video (proven on the backside of this story) launched by the German efficiency model – printed shortly after the top of the ultimate race of the 2020 F1 season, the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix – sees Hamilton soar behind the wheel of a pre-production model of the model’s F1-derived One hypercar, pictured alongside the British driver’s title-winning 2020 racer.

The One featured within the video wears a singular gray and black livery, complemented by purple accents which, based on Mercedes-AMG chairman Philipp Schiemer, will “play a central position” for the model’s new electrified sub-brand, E-Performance.

The Mercedes-AMG One, first revealed in ‘Project’ idea kind in late 2017, is powered by a WLTP-homologated model of the 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 fitted to the model’s 2015 championship-winning Formula One automobile, paired with 4 electrical motors – two of which sit on the entrance axle – for a mixed system output of over 740kW and a prime velocity of “in extra of 350km/h”.

While the 1.6-litre turbo V6 can rev as much as 11,000rpm in race trim, Affalterbach’s engineers have lowered its redline for highway use to assist road-going ‘premium plus’ petrol (versus bespoke race gasoline) and permit for a “longer service life”.

Complementing the high-performance hybrid system is race-derived pushrod system and a complicated aerodynamics bundle, together with a big, energetic rear spoiler, centre-mounted rear sharkfin, an aggressive rear diffuser and flip-up louvres on the entrance wheel arches.
